Now accepting applications for USG Goes Global Summer 2027 Study Abroad teaching positions

Dear USG Faculty,

USG Goes Global is currently seeking faculty for teaching positions on our Summer 2027 study abroad programs! Interested faculty can find details and/or start an application here.

Why consider a USG Goes Global teaching position?

Students are not the only ones who should benefit from a study abroad experience. With 23 participating USG institutions, USG Goes Global brings together the distinct perspectives of students and faculty from campuses across Georgia to provide unique international experiences that strengthen cultural competencies with the added benefit of cross-institutional intercultural engagement.

Who can apply for a USG Goes Global teaching position?

All interested faculty are encouraged to apply! As a bridge between campuses of varying size, USGG facilitates opportunities to teach abroad for smaller institutions with limited/no resources to offer their own programs. Administrative aspects of USGG programs are handled at the university system office with minimal resources required from partner institutions, so faculty can focus on the academic content and receive compensation at a standard rate while remaining employees of their home institution. Further, required travel expenses incurred by faculty will be covered by USGG (see Faculty Resources & FAQs). Previous travel or study abroad experience is not required! In fact, USGG welcomes faculty who may be less familiar with teaching abroad to participate, who will learn from more experienced faculty and share that knowledge with their home institution with the hope of expanding access to study abroad by increasing involvement on individual campuses.

Where do USG Goes Global study abroad programs travel?

There are currently multiple active programs to European destinations, including Scotland, England, Spain, France, Portugal and Ireland, as well as a program in Barbados. Faculty can apply for a teaching position, or more experienced faculty can apply to become a Program Director! The following USGG programs are also accepting applications for new Program Directors (3-year term beginning with summer 2027 pre-planning): Barbados, London, Paris and Madrid Program. For an overview of the additional responsibilities of USGG Program Directors, please refer to Faculty Resources & FAQs

If you are interested in applying for a USGG Summer 2027 teaching position or one of the open Program Director positions, please submit an application by midnight on April 2, 2026. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
