Caban named PBC Pitcher of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. | Georgia College & State University's Tiffany Caban has been named the Peach Belt Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week ending May 3.

Caban, a junior right-handed pitcher from Evans, Georgia, made two starts for the Bobcats, going 1-1. Caban pitched 12 innings, allowing just seven hits, three earned runs and eight walks while striking out 13. Caban held opponents to a .171 batting average last week,

Caban leads the PBC in opposing batting average (.178), is third in batters struck out looking (35), and is fourth in batters struck out (104).

The Bobcats return to action Friday (May 8) when they face the University of South Carolina-Beaufort in a 1:30 p.m. quarterfinal game in the 2026 PBC Tournament in Dahlonega, Georgia.
