Guest Artists Recital: Korean Ensemble Recital

The Guest Artist Recital, “The PAAN of Haegeum: Across Time and Place,” will be at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. Haegeum artist Sunghee Lee and pianist Hue Jang will present a journey through Korean traditional music, contemporary compositions, literary inspiration, and newly reimagined popular melodies. Featuring the world premiere of a new work by San Francisco-based composer Hyo-shin Na, the program reveals the haegeum as an instrument of tradition, experimentation, storytelling, and cultural connection. Rather than presenting a single musical style, the concert highlights the haegeum’s ability to move between restraint and intensity, solitude and celebration, and tradition and contemporary expression. This concert will also be livestreamed and the link can be found  at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment.
