Friday, Oct. 23 specialty tour at Georgia's Old Governor's Mansion

Death After Dark focuses on the deathways of the 19th century. Deathways include the causes of death, autopsies, embalming, caretakers of the dead, mourning practices, cemeteries, and even grave robbing. Additionally, this tour emphasizes the inequalities that existed in relation to death in this time period, which varied considerably depending upon a person’s race, gender, social class, and age.

Tours are on the hour: 6 p.m., 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Adult ticket: $15
Senior ticket (60+): $8
Student ticket: $4
