We will host our third annual Venture Capital Challenge (VC-Squared) on Research Day this year. April 16 form 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. We will give students the chance to toss their business ideas to a group of judges Shark Tank style in a five minute pitch, with up to a five minute Q&A afterwards. RSVP is required. Throughout the University System of Georgia, each institution is awarded 13 established paid holidays each calendar year in accordance with Board Policy 8.2.6 and state law. Dr. Kasey Karen will discuss the work of Drs. Victor Ambros and Gary Ruvkun, who were awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physiology/Medicine for the discovery of microRNA and its role in post-transcriptional gene regulation. This event is open to all students.
