The State of the University Address will take place Friday, Feb. 6, at 2 p.m. in Russell Auditorium.During the address, President Cox will reflect on our last 30 years as a Liberal Arts institution and look ahead to the ways GCSU will continue to make meaningful strides. Let’s celebrate our collective achievements and look forward together. A reception will immediately follow the address on the Russell Lawn.

By Al Weston When Georgia College & State University alumna Cristalei Polk (‘16) walks into the Georgia State Capitol, she isn’t just representing her profession. She’s representing her patients. A licensed and certified prosthetist-orthotist practicing in Atlanta, Polk helps patients regain mobility after amputation or injury. She fabricates and fits prosthetic and orthotic devices, and provides ongoing care. Over time, Polk noticed a recurring obstacle no amount of clinical skill...
