Urgent need of assistance:Based on weather forecasted this week as the hottest week of the year, so far, demand on the power grid has increased to $1.50/kilowatt hour, a significant increase from the normal rate. The University System of Georgia (USG) has established an educational assistance program, the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). The purpose for TAP is to foster the professional growth and development of its eligible employees.The Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application deadline for fall 2024 is Monday, July 15, 2024. We will adopt the new DUO Verified Push starting Wednesday, July 10, 2024.  Please reference the attached document for complete details. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer break. As is normal for the summer as temperatures increase, so does electricity cost to the university. Electricity costs are on the rise as of this week with elevated pricing currently at $.35 per kilowatt hour (an increase of about $.32 higher than normal).
