Tuesday, Oct. 24, the Georgia College & State University Orchestra will hold its concert, “Virtuosity,” at 7:30 p.m. in Russell Auditorium. This fun and peppy program features the first violin concerto Felix Mendelssohn wrote when he was only 13 years old. Guest artist and violinist Calin Lupanu will perform this challenging piece. Dr. Kristina Dandy, professor of psychology at Georgia College & State University was recently chosen to represent the Baldwin District on the 2023-2025 State School Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council (PAC). The State School Superintendent’s PAC is comprised of a select group of parents across Georgia. Each year, just 30 parents earn a spot on this council.
