Students are invited to attend a screening of the Emmy Award nominated documentary film No Más Bebés. This film tells the story of a group of Mexican-American women who were coerced into sterilization after giving birth at LA County General Hospital in the 1960s and 1970s, and the work of a young Chicana lawyer to bring these women justice. A discussion of the film and its connection to current issues surrounding immigration, abortion and reproductive health will follow the screening.
