IT is pleased to announce that Fred Godin, who has been serving as a systems application analyst on our Enterprise Applications team, will be moving over to the director of Technology Support Services position effective Nov. 15. Please join me in welcoming Fred in his new role.

As we move into cooler weather, some people may be using small space heaters. Please do not plug the heaters into surge protectors. Heaters need to be plugged straight into an electrical wall outlet. This is because a power strip doesn't have a high enough current flow to support the electrical needs of a space heater, causing it to overheat and possibly lead to a fire.

We shared earlier this month that Information Technology rolled out a new set of wireless networks for campus. The new campus wireless networks are Bobcats, Bobcat Guests and Bobcat Devices. The new campus wireless networks are currently available in parallel with GC_Secure and GC_Guest until Nov. 1.
