This experience is open to faculty and students. Shows can cover anything from music to pop culture, politics, news and sports, etc. We have even had faculty do educational shows for class. This event is held every semester to bring more awareness to all of the organizations in the Department of Communication. This Student Media Day will include free food, games and a fun giveaway!

Last weekend, the Georgia College & State University Forensics Team competed at Berry College's annual "Autumn in the Mountains" forensics tournament. There, team members Halle Bergstrom, Nicholas Wimbish and Joshua Jones took home excellent ballots in Informative Speaking, Prose Interpretation, Impromptu Speaking, Extemporaneous Speaking and Impromptu Sales. Dr. Han, assistant professor of the Communication Department, has recently published a paper titled "Ethical Consumption as Fetishism: Unmasking Capitalist Ideologies, Social Distinctions, and the Educational Imperative."
