This Maymester 2024, the Georgia College Department of Communication presents: "Inside Sports Broadcasting." This is a fully online Maymester course. This course has no class meetings. You can complete the work on your own time at home. Inside Sports Broadcasting will provide students with an overview of sports television broadcasting. WGUR's annual Sounds of the Spring Music Festival is this Friday starting at 8 p.m. going until 1 a.m. Eight bands are performing at Blackbird, Buffington's and Dungeon's and Daiquiris. Tickets are $16 in advance and $19 at the door.  BUY TICKETS HERE! A portion of the profits will go to benefit the Life Enrichment Center.

Shows can be anything from music to pop culture, politics, news and sports, etc. We have even had staff do educational shows for class. No experience doing radio? Join Dr. Chad Whittle this Maymester for Professional Media Writing live online from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. This course will teach students to craft professional copy for media including broadcasting (radio and TV), news (newspapers and digital media) and public relations (press release writing).
