Thursday, Oct. 26, the Wind Symphony concert at Georgia College & State University, “Landmarks,” will be at 7:30 p.m. in Russell Auditorium. Tuesday, Oct. 24, the Georgia College & State University Orchestra will hold its concert, “Virtuosity,” at 7:30 p.m. in Russell Auditorium. This fun and peppy program features the first violin concerto Felix Mendelssohn wrote when he was only 13 years old. Guest artist and violinist Calin Lupanu will perform this challenging piece. Come out and enjoy our Georgia College & State University Jazz Jam session Tuesday, Oct. 17, 7-9 p.m. at Amici Café, downtown Milledgeville, presented by Jazz at Georgia College. Hosted by our faculty and student jazz musicians, the GCSU Jam session is open to all members of the community interested in working on their jazz and improvisation skills. Monday, Oct. 16 Guest artist and saxophonist Jared Cummings will perform some of his favorite music pieces at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall. Some represent the locations he first played them.
