Tuesday, Sept. 2 A Faculty Chamber Recital, “Voice of the Whale,” will be at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. The faculty members Rebecca Cooke, clarinet; Laurie Peebles, flute; Steven Taylor, cello; and Hue Jang, piano will perform Classical and 20th Century music.   The trio by Beethoven is playful, while the “Voice of the Whale,” by George Crumb is mystical and a fantasy-like. Rori Blackwell and Kaylah Sherow, both sopranos will present a joint Junior Recital on Saturday, April 19, 1 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall. Dr. Hue Jang will accompany them on the piano. This event will also be live streamed on facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment.

With a theme of "Come As You Are," Preston will perform works by Paule Maurice, Steven Banks, Andy Scott, William Grant Still, as well as "A Journey's End" which is arranged by Preston.
