Emergency Water Conservation Advisory in Effect

The City of Milledgeville has issued an Emergency Water Conversation Advisory for all city water customers, including Georgia College & State University’s main and west campuses.

A motor failure in a high service pump at the City’s Water Treatment facility has created the possibility that the city’s water system could lose pressure, causing water outages and forcing a water boil advisory.

The City of Milledgeville issued the following recommendations:
- Please try to condense loads of laundry
- Reduce showering times
- Turn water off when brushing teeth or shaving
- Make sure all faucets are turned off
- Dishwashers are full to minimize loads
