Come out and enjoy our Georgia College & State University Jazz Jam Session Tuesday, Oct. 29, 7-9 p.m. at Amici Café, downtown Milledgeville, presented by Jazz at Georgia College. Hosted by our faculty and student jazz musicians, the GCSU Jam Session is open to all members of the community who are interested in working on their jazz and improvisation skills. Bring your instrument if you want to play or come just to enjoy the menu and the live music at Amici Café. We hope to see you there.

Celebratory cannon fire on Friday, August 16

From GMC Campus Police: celebratory cannon fire Friday morningOn Friday morning, August 16, between 11:05 and 11:15 a.m. there will be three cannons fired on Greene Street by the National Guard. The cannon fire will be loud and heard throughout the area of downtown Milledgeville and the GMC and GCSU campuses.

Wednesday, August 14, is sorority Bid Day on Front Campus and the fountain area. We expect nearly 1,500 students and around 100 parents and guests for this brief but lively event! Students will begin gathering at around 10:15 a.m. and finished by 12 p.m. Spectators often use the Atkinson and Terrell porches for viewing, and it will be rather loud on Front Campus. Thank you for your understanding!

First Day of Class Pep Rally

Students, faculty and staff are invited to the First Day of Class Pep Rally! It will be held Monday, Aug. 19 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Front Campus. To kick off the start of the school year there will be King of Pops, a 360-photo booth and a motivational speech at noon from the one and only President Cox.
