Macros are wonderful indicators of water quality! Stop by the Fountain Wednesday, Nov. 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. to find a few macroinvertebrates from Lake Laurel. GCSU Thirst for Knowledge will be tabling at the Fountain with some freshly caught macros. Learn how they can be indicators of water quality, how you can get involved and try your hand at identifying one or two!   

Join Academic Outreach and the Aquatic Sciences Center for an afternoon of water education. We will have a variety of hands-on activities for all ages, focusing on properties of water, water quality and things we can do to positively impact our local water. Bring your friends and family.
