Academic Outreach and the Science Education Center are hosting Science Camp: The Science of Food this year. If you have a rising 3rd - 9th grader who loves science and food, this is the camp for them. Happy Valentine's Day! Join Academic Outreach at the Fountain Feb. 14 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. to play with water through our Georgia College & State University Thirst for Knowledge Program. We will have: * Stream table:  Learn more about how a stream moves and how sediments travel. * Water color poppies: Make your own colorful poppy using the capillary action of water. * H2Olymics: How many drops of water can you get on a penny? Monthly Monitoring is coming up. Join us Friday, Feb. 2, for Chemical Monitoring of Champion Creek at Lake Laurel (9 - 10 a.m.) at Georgia College & State University's East Campus and/or Tobler Creek at Andalusia (10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.).  No experience necessary. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes that can get wet. We will use Georgia Adopt-a-Stream methods to test temperature, dissolved oxygen, conductivity and pH of the streams, all while enjoying the beauty of Georgia College's East...
