Are you looking for a way to learn more about our water?  Do you want to get C-bEL components for GC Journeys?  Do you want an excuse to get out to Lake Laurel or Andalusia?  Are you looking for a training certification for your future?  Do you love learning new things?  Stop by the fountain today (Oct. 4) and learn more about GCSU Thirst for Knowledge. We will have information and macroinvertebrates to see and you can do a pH test of water. We will be there from 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Through the GCSU Thirst for Knowledge Program, you can become Georgia Adopt-a-Stream certified in these upcoming trainings. Do you want to learn more about campus while making a positive impact?  Join us this Friday (Sept. 1) for Chemical Monitoring of Champion Creek out at Lake Laurel (9 a.m. - 10 a.m.), GCSU's East Campus and/or Tobler Creek at Andalusia (10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.).  No experience necessary. Be sure to wear some closed-toed shoes that can get wet. In June, Academic Outreach will partner with the Science Education Center to offer Science Camp for 2 weeks.  Rising 3rd -5th graders will participate June 5-9 and rising 6th - 9th graders will participate June 12 - 16.  Then we will partner with Continuing and Professional Education to offer Creature Camp for rising 4th - 6th graders June 26 - 30.  Camps are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  If you are looking for a fun opportunity to gain leadership experience, learn new ways to teach science...

Looking for something fun to do before the ArtHealthy Festival on April 15?  Students are invited to join Academic Outreach, the Aquatic Sciences Center and the Outdoor Center as we learn about water quality, clean-up a bit and enjoy a relaxing paddle down the Oconee River from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.!  Cost is $10 per person and will include boat rental, gear and light snacks.  you need only bring additional snacks, water bottle, change of clothes, Closed-toe heeled shoes, bug spray,...
