Faculty facilitators are still needed for our GCReads micro seminars during Week of Welcome. GCReads is our common reading experience for incoming first-year students designed to introduce them to the GCSU classroom experience. Students will select one of eight articles to discuss during a 75-minute micro seminar on Friday, August 18. First-Year Guides (FYGs) are student peer mentors who help our new GCSU students transition to college. FYGs attend two to three sections of first-year seminar weekly during the fall semester, assisting the instructors and supporting the first-year students enrolled in those sections. FYGs continue to support first-year students throughout the entire academic year. Pay rate is $8/hr. Applications due Wednesday April 5th. Apply now at bit.ly/2023FYG
