Dr. Scott Buchanan, professor of Political Science and department chair of Government and Sociology, will be giving a book talk on Wednesday evening, 10 April, at 6 p.m. at Georgia's Old Governor's Mansion. Dr. Buchanan is the co-author of the only book devoted to one of the more unusual political controversies in the history of Georgia--and perhaps in the nation's history. Please join us for the talk and reception.

Please note if you are a student who receives testing accommodations, as approved by the Student Disability Resource Center, you may schedule appointments for your final exams. Come out and enjoy Georgia College & State University's Jazz Jam Session Tuesday, April 23, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Amici Café, downtown Milledgeville, presented by Jazz at Georgia College. Hosted by our faculty and student jazz musicians, the GCSU Jam Session is open to all members of the community interested in working on their jazz and improvisation skills. Bring your instrument if you want to play or come just to enjoy the menu and the live music at Amici Café. We hope to see you there.

Between Wednesday and Saturday, Brian Newsome and Anna Whiteside accompanied a large group of Honors students to the Southern Regional Honors Conference, held in Jacksonville, Florida. Thursday morning started with the “place-as-text” program.
