Dining Services Hours: Jan. 19

Dining Services locations will have adjusted hours for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The MAX will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch, and 5-7 p.m. for dinner. Chick-fil-A and Ibasho Sushi will be open 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Einstein Bros. Bagels, Pizza Hut, To The Max Mexican and Books & Brew will be closed. Regular business hours resume on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Maintenance event to cause power outage in Chappell and Lanier Halls, Russell Auditorium and possibly campus wide Saturday, Jan. 17, 7 a.m. until noon

Georgia College & State University’s Facilities Management Department will replace the main breaker serving Lanier Hall and Russell Auditorium on Saturday, Jan. 17. This work will require electrical power be interrupted for Chappell Hall, Lanier Hall and Russell Auditorium. It is anticipated that the university’s primary datacenter will remain online and on generator power. Film Screening and Discussion: No Más Bebés

Students are invited to attend a screening of the Emmy Award nominated documentary film No Más Bebés. This film tells the story of a group of Mexican-American women who were coerced into sterilization after giving birth at LA County General Hospital in the 1960s and 1970s, and the work of a young Chicana lawyer to bring these women justice. A discussion of the film and its connection to current issues surrounding immigration, abortion and reproductive health will follow the screening.
