Join us March 25 from 7:30 until 10 p.m. in celebrating Flannery O'Connor's 101st birthday outside on the lawn at Andalusia Farm Interpretative Center. John Huston adapted O'Connor's 1953 novel in 1979, and filmed it partly in Baldwin County and mostly in Macon, Georgia. Starring Brad Dourif, Ned Beatty, Harry Dean Stanton, Dan Shor, Amy Wright and Mary Nell Santacrosce with a cameo by John Huston. Introduction by Professor Emeritus Bruce Gentry, with discussion afterwards. Birthday...

Using watercolors, charcoals, paintbrushes, easels and canvasses—students from Central Georgia will craft impromptu art during Georgia College & State University’s first “Artober Celebration at Andalusia: Home of Flannery O’Connor.”It’ll be a day of “En Plein Air” painting 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5.
