Chika Unigwe, assistant professor of creative writing at Georgia College & State University, was knighted recently into the Order of the Crown at the Consulate of Belgium in Atlanta. She was also a finalist for the Christoffel Plantin Prize, a prestigious award for Belgian nationals living abroad who contribute to the reputation of their nation. An essay written by Dr. Kerry Neville, associate professor of English and coordinator of the Master's in Fine Arts program at Georgia College & State University, is included in a book that won the "2023 An Post Irish Book Award" for Best Irish-Published Book of the Year. The book, “Sunday Miscellany: A Companion, 2018-2023,"  was edited by Sarah Binchy of RTÉ radio's Sunday Miscellany Program and published by New Island Books.
