Tuesday, Oct. 7 The Faculty Recital, “Devil’s Trill,” will be at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. Faculty members Bryan Emmon Hall, violin and Owen Lovell, piano, will perform flashy, dark and beautiful music from the Baroque and Romantic periods, including virtuosic music of Pablo de Sarasate and Johannes Brahms, as well as Giuseppe Tartini, who is the composer of “The Devil’s Trill Sonata.” This concert will also be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/GCMusicDepartment...

Sunday, Oct. 5 Members of the Flute & Saxophone Studios at Georgia College & State University will give a 3 p.m. performance of solos and chamber music in Max Noah Recital Hall. Sunday, Sept. 28 “Prokofiev’s Romeo & Juliet” is the theme of Georgia College & State University’s piano studio recital at 3 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall, on the third floor of Porter Hall. Students in Dr. Owen Lovell’s GCSU piano studio will perform several movements from Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev’s piano transcription of the ballet, Romeo and Juliet.
