The Flannery O'Connor Institute for the Humanities hosts the Flannery O'Connor Book Club with Bruce Gentry. Come, see the Southern Gothic horror film withn16 academy nominations on the big screen. Set in 1932 the Mississippi Delta, starring Michael B. Jordan, there is supernatural evil in the Jim Crow South. Voodoo, vampires, music and dance. Introduction by Blue Profitt, English Department. A discussion will follow. The film will be shown at Max Noah Recital Hall Feb. 25 from 7 to 10 p.m.

The Flannery O'Connor book club kicks off spring semester to discuss the first half of O'Connor's novel Wiseblood, facilitated by Dr. Bruce Gentry. The discussion is free and open to the public. Come even if you don't have time to read the book. We will screen the film by John Huston later in the semester.
